Case Study 3: Special Cargo Transportation in Hong Kong

Import Transportation of Italian Energy Vehicles

Challenge: In a three-party trade scenario, where the consignee is unaware of the shipper and the details of the goods, it was necessary to quickly confirm all relevant details with the overseas agent according to the consignee's requirements. The goods needed to go through Hong Kong for import before being transferred to the mainland. Additionally, a temporary transshipment permit had to be obtained in Hong Kong, and the project required on-site verification of the goods by our company, posing one of the operational challenges.
Solution: The prototype, each valued at around 1.5 million RMB, required careful handling. Customs clearance involved passing through Huanggang Customs, then dismantling the goods at Ganzhou, Jiangxi. Our company had to control the time required for each step, communicate promptly with the consignee, and ensure a smooth process.
Live Broadcast: Our company maintained close communication with upstream and downstream partners. Since the plan was subject to change, we utilized WeChat/QQ live broadcasts and telephone updates to report progress and receive operational instructions, ensuring constant confirmation.
Execution: Rigorous control over the arrival times at each stage to avoid delays and increased costs. Priority processing of airport pick-up procedures, using professional forklifts to ensure smooth pick-up. Our personnel were on-site to supervise and take photos during the operation. Timely feedback to the client at each stage, from pick-up departure to arrival.
Inspection: Upon reaching the airport, a thorough count was conducted, verifying that the product names matched the packing list and invoice descriptions. Inspection of external packaging and intact seals was ensured. Any anomalies were immediately raised with the airline, and even rejection or refusal of acceptance occurred, with live streaming online for the consignee.
Delivery: Delivery time was stringent, any delays would result in additional costs and customer dissatisfaction. The consignee had to present the company seal, the ID of the responsible person, and sign and stamp the delivery receipt. Delivery was simultaneously live-streamed online for client acknowledgment.
Result: Despite incomplete information, our company analyzed the transportation points, proactively coordinated with overseas/domestic entities, and tailored a logistics solution for the client. Through reasonable transportation methods, real-time monitoring throughout the process, and strict time control, potential costs and risks in transportation were successfully reduced, and delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction were enhanced.
